Organisation Details

The Bingley Arts Centre is a community venue in Bingley that hosts a variety of events, including theater productions, live music, films, and community gatherings. It also offers workshops and classes for those who want to learn new skills or develop their existing talents. The center is a popular destination for people of all ages and interests.

Project Details

The building has not been painted in some time. As a result, we would like to bring a fresh lease of life to the building that will host a variety of activities during City of Culture:

• Repaint toilets
• Glossing doors
• Glossing skirting and frames
• Painting corridors

Number of volunteers

This can accommodate between 5 and 20 volunteers.

 Available dates

Dates to discussed with Luke Dennison. Half day opportunities also available upon request

On-site support

On the day Participate will be providing a member of staff to support the volunteers. A trained first aider and first aid kit will be available during the challenge. A tools talk and health and safety briefing will be given by Participate at the beginning of the day.

Preparation

Volunteers will be undertaking painting activities and are required to wear old and reasonably robust clothing that you will not mind getting paint on. We do offer paint overalls, although these do not guarantee no damage to clothing. We also require sensible sturdy footwear, avoiding heels and open toe footwear. Where personal protective equipment is required, it will be provided.

Materials, tools and equipment

Tools and materials will be provided by Participate Projects.
