Organisation Details

Little House in Bingley is run by Community Action Bradford & District (CABAD). The community space is regularly used by local community groups and is available for all residents. The small centre has not been updated in some time and is real need of redecorating. This will include ad hoc activities during Bradford 2025.

Project Details

This well used space requires its main hall space and toilets repainting.

  • Preparing surfaces
  • Painting walls – 2x coats
  • Painting doors – gloss
  • Painting skirting boards – gloss

The above is a simplified process we will use on the day.

Date and Number of Volunteers

This project will require between 5-10 volunteers.

Dates to be confirmed discussed with Luke Dennison.

On-site support

On the day Participate will be providing a member of staff to support the volunteers. A trained first aider and first aid kit will be available during the challenge. A tools talk and health and safety briefing will be given by Participate at the beginning of the day.

Preparation

Volunteers will be undertaking painting activities and are required to wear old and reasonably robust clothing that you will not mind getting paint on. We do offer paint overalls, although these do not guarantee no damage to clothing. We also require sensible sturdy footwear, avoiding heels and open toe footwear. Where personal protective equipment is required, it will be provided.

Materials, tools and equipment

Tools and materials will be provided by Participate Projects.
