Organisation Details
Their mission is to provide the space and opportunity for inclusive recreational, educational, cultural, work readiness, sporting programmes and services, to improve the physical, mental and emotional health and well-being of children and young people. This centre supports those living in and around the BD10/2 areas of Bradford by working in partnership to raise the attainment of children at risk from the impacts of low attainment, poverty and criminal activity. Throughout 2025, they will be hosting a wide range of community events celebrating arts and culture.
They are also working with young people/adults to support them into the labour market. They are keen to explore further with businesses who support work placements and apprenticeships
Project Details
The centre has multiple rooms that are in dire need of decorating:
- Garage Workshop
- Art room
- Dining space
- Corridors
- Toilets

On-site support
On the day Participate will be providing a member of staff to support the volunteers. A trained first aider and first aid kit will be available during the challenge. A tools talk and health and safety briefing will be given by Participate at the beginning of the day.
Preparation
Volunteers will be undertaking painting activities and are required to wear old and reasonably robust clothing that you will not mind getting paint on. We do offer paint overalls, although these do not guarantee no damage to clothing. Where personal protective equipment is required it will be provided.
Materials, tools and equipment
Tools and materials will be provided by Participate Projects.
