Organisation Details
Interact is a community-focused organisation working in and around Stainbeck, Leeds, to support local people through education, wellbeing, and social initiatives. They provide a welcoming space for individuals and families, offering food support, youth programmes, and skills development. Through partnerships and outreach, Interact strengthens community connections and empowers residents. After recently having a new cabin facility installed, they are keen to further develop the area.

• Building and installing bird boxes
• Installing benches
• Pruning trees

On-site support
On the day Participate will be providing a member of staff to support the volunteers. A trained first aider and first aid kit will be available during the challenge. A ‘Tools Talk’ and health and safety briefing will be given by Participate at the beginning of the day.
Preparation
Volunteers will be undertaking outdoor construction-based activities and are required to wear old and reasonably robust clothing that you will not mind getting dirty. Where personal protective equipment is required, it will be provided. This does not include work safety boots. If you have access to boots, that would be beneficial. As this challenge is taking place outdoors and as such the volunteers should be prepared for inclement weather or sunshine.
